Looking for a new GPU

Need advice on a new GPU.

My current card a GTX460 has just passed its 3rd birthday, so I am toying with the idea of upgrading.

In the three years since I have had the card I have not really kept up to date with current GPU technology so I would appreciate some advice on my next purchase.

I am looking to spend in the region of £200 but could be persuaded to increase this if necessary.

I would hope not to have to upgrade my motherboard and processor but as they are older than the card I am assuming they would impact on the performance of any new card, my current board is an Asus P7P55D and processor is i5-750.

Any advice on new card, mobo or CPU would be greatly appreciated.

Graphic card, you will not get wrong with either a 7950 or 7970.

CPU/MOBO depending your budget. Personally FX8350 + 7950-7970 is cheap and cheerful solution. The FX with correct cooling can get to 4.9-5Ghz and provide enough power for quite some time.

Of course you can get some of the Intel solutions for 2-3 the money.

My personal choice would be the Asus 7970 Matrix Platinum, for that sort of money I really don't think you can get more performance for your money :) plus you get a few free games as well, which can either be sold to get some cashback or obviously played :D
