So, my hyperX clouds microphone decided to just stop working a while back. Not a big deal since I dont tend to use it too often. But its nice to have incase you need a microphone (which sometimes does happen). I require a new headset since this ones served a good 3 or so years. Been looking at the CloudX II or something similar in the range but was wondering if anyone had any feedback on its quality. And if anything of similar quality/price to the original HyperX Cloud headset has appeared on the market.

Also as well to add insult to injury the Razer Ouroborous I've been using for the past 4 years or so also needs to be replaced due to dodgy glue jobs on the detatchable rubber grips. This poses a greater issue, as I have big hands being able to judge how comfortable a fit a mouse will be online is most of the time not the easiest thing in the world. Looking for something simple 2 side buttons probably about 50 quid or so, wired prefered. I prefer to palm my mouse (if thats of any help at all).

Thanks for any suggestions/personal experience feedback on either the CloudX headset line or on any mice for those also with big hands!

I have had the HyperX Cloud II for around 2 years and it is still in very good condition. It is comfortable (even for long periods) due to the memory foam padding, sound quality is great, no signs of wear and tear, and the microphone is still working despite me taking it out quite frequently. I was using it connected directly to my SoundBlaster Z, but now I use the USB sound card that comes with it. Sound quality on that is just as good, plus I get to make use of the inline remote. I'd definitely recommend it.

Regarding the mouse, I am replacing my Steel Series Sensei Raw with a Logitech G403, which is £59.99. The Sensei Raw is a great mouse that has served me well, so you could check that out. There is an issue with the scroll wheel though where it skips, but not noticeable in games. I spent a long time researching a replacement mouse, and it has led me to the G403. I haven't received it yet, so can't tell you my opinion on it.

I think my hands are large-ish, but I tend to use a claw/fingertip grip. These mice should be appropriate for any grip type. This review video of G403 tells you what size hands are good for the G403:
.

If not the G403, you could look at the G502, which I've heard is a good mouse but a little on the heavy side.

Great I'll give the mouse suggestions a look. My HyperX Cloud headset has been a solid performer I can't fault that. No idea as to why the mic just stopped working. :( Sounds like the HyperX Cloud II is still on the ball for quality in both audio as well as build which is great. Thanks for the help!

Yeah I can't rate my Cloud II's highly enough, they work well with no fuss and the build quality is fantastic!

I also recently bought the G403 for £45, great mouse, I play a fair bit of CSGO and it's comfortable and the sensor is great - only problem I have with mine is the braided cable tends to catch on the corner of the desk, other than that though, it's a really solid mouse.
