Agreed it's quite acceptable these days to use hoover as a generic term for vacuum cleaner. Go to Tescos web site and see 'hoover' :eek:

not so sure about pull up hoover types though

vax and dyson were both similar types to my pics
we are going to use it on a carpet though.

All I know is make sure you dont get a Hoover, paid for a "decent one" and it requires me to get on my hands and knees with the nozzle to actualy do anything....

I've got a Sebo, its been going strong for 5 years. Only problem is its a bag jobby so you need to change bags and they aren't cheap + the filter needs chaning every few months, but it is damn reliable and has never broken down

I bought a iRobot Roomba 581 robot hoover at xmas, best thing ever bought.

Go out shopping on sats, come back and whole flat is clean and hoover back on dock station charging up. Set it off twice at weekends keeps floors spotless.

Bit spendy at over £400, but it's uber gadget tbh

Even though Wiki says it, I would love to see a Panasonic Hoover, Dyson Hoover or any hoover with the word hoover on it that wasn't made by Hoover.

Henrys are the bees knees. I used to use one at work for hoovering all kindsa dust, soot, cement, plaster etc. Never missed a beat

Bought one for the house with the airo brush head and its awesome.
