Ive been on with aol for over 10years now, and its time for a change, there starting to give me awefull connections on random days, they say its because they try and give everyone a fair speed (IE - If 1 person is online he gets 10meg, if 10 people are online that speed is divided by 10) , so on peek times i basicaly have a dial up connection its that bad, its always funny because the last awefull problem was about 3 weeks ago, every time i rang they told me a different thing, and when i say a different thing i mean the person i spoke to 'next' told me the person before was lying, it was that bad, we have been paying 30 pound a month for there crap for years, im putting a stop to that, they were good at one point but now are on the bottom of the pile.

so, im looking at o2 or BT atm, there looking top trumps lately on many of the sites ive been on, them 2 have both been on the top 2, anyone have one of them isp's ? any problems ? need some inside info before i commit myself :)

any others that are flying atm ?

Cheers

I would avoid BT. Never used them personally but have heard a lot of complaints.

Go to www.samknows.com and have a look at what LLU services are available at your exchange.

I would choose O2 or Sky's LLU product if you can get them.

If joining o2 then click thru www.quidco.co.uk or another similar site (check the best bungs) and get a nice bugback!
I'm in Southampton and o2 are wonderfully fast- and cheap (clicks thru the pages even faster with Windows 7 build 7057). I can't get more that 8 so am on the bottom package £7.50 ish a month and £10 on my mobile card every 3 months - I also use it for voip for all of my telephone calls www.internetcalls.com

i've just had my Be* account permanently reduced to £12 a month as i threatened to go to o2 (who owns them???)

might be worth giving them a call if there available in your area and see if they can do you a similar deal!

BE/O2 if you are a gamer etc, Sky if you already have Sky and dont game on the connection (due to interleaved latency)

Avoid BT, overpriced, traffic manage the connection, poor customer support and pants router.
