For the mouse I'd say go for a Razer Copperhead. Best mouse I've used, comfortable and the extra buttons really come in useful both for web browsing and in games for things like reload and use as my thumb's always on them to save moving my left hand. I also see the Diamondback is only £25 if you want to spend a bit less but I've never used one so can't comment on how good the side buttons are

Im using an MX518 atm and i can't fault it it's been great, but i don't really have anything to compare it with.

Can't comment on keyboard, i prefer wireless as im constantly moving it around and the only real decent wireless gaming keyboard are a bit over my budget so im just using the microsoft wireless 6000, although i wouldn't recommend this for you if you've been looking at the G11. Have to admit it's been fine for gaming though, i dont need a 100 different buttons to move and crouch and it can register all my clicks just fine.

I've got a MX518, G9 & a Revolution

The Revolution feels the best to use but I prefer the G9, MX518 is the lightest

this is probably no help :p

Ive had loads of mice and I have to say that the only way to know what is most suited to you is by trying them out.. and there are not that many places available to do that...

I have an MX518 and a Razer mamba... they are both great mice, the razer has really good placed side thumb buttons... great for binding keys when gaming...

but they are both good!!

the logitech G15 is the best keyboard I have ever owned... there is nothing better imho... a lovely keyboard!!!

Hi, I have a Razor Diamondback 3G and Saitek Eclipse II, haven't really used the mouse yet but the keyboard is nice and neither were very expensive, apparently I've been the told the multimedia buttons on the saitek eclipse II son't work on Windows 7.

Thanks for the replies so far! I see there's a lot of positive opinions about the G15. Is it worth paying extra for the G15, rather than the G11?

Mice. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-001-LG That deal comes with the G15 and the G9 for £93. Although just from the pictures I prefer the look of the Razer Copperhead, seems as if it is more comfortable. Also a bit cheaper, but the DPI is lower... Shame I can't test them out anywhere before purchasing :/

I wouldn't worry about the DPI as I never have my DPI setting on my copperhead on full anyway. The copperhead is comfortable but I haven't tried the G9 so I can't comment on how the comfort compares.

I had the G15 rev 1, was a nice keyboard but too bulky in my opinion, I have the g19 now its much better, nice and compact with a cool screen, but a little bit too expensive tbh

you can change the key colours to whatever you desire which is neat, cant remember if you can do that with a g15
