currently got a GA P35-DS3R and overclocking is hell on it

i have a Q6600 @ 3.6 currently but want to go further

also i have DDR2 Ram.
i would like to overclock again and my budget is between £100 - £300

ASUS P5Q Deluxe. Can be picked up for 120 quid and eats Q6600's for breakfast.

Tho what is holding back your Q6600? If it's vcore then a new board will probably offer little more.

cant get 3.6 prime stable even with 1.55V,just restarts my pc straight away and temps are 72 100%

Can't really see a new board helping too much.

Is it a new'ish Q6600? I know a lot of newer ones aren't great overclockers.

3.6ghz for a Q6600 is a nice speed.

You are more than likely finding the max of your chip rather than the mobo.

Throwing more money into a new mobo will yield little results.

not really happy with this mobo anyway,and feel like its time for an upgrade
