Heys guys, looking for some advice.

My current system is being bottlenecked due to my motherboard because I had to buy a cheap one in an emergency. Now I've got a little bit of spare cash I would like to resolve that.

Current specs;

Q6600 @ 2.4 (Tried to Overclock it but the motherboard wouldn't have it)

4gb OCZ Platinum Revision 2 XTC PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Series (only got 2 sticks in at the moment because the mother board wont recognise four :D)

Nvidia 8800 GTS

xfi Soundcard

Corsair TX 750W ATX PSU

Various sata HD's

Im looking to spend around £150 on it, obviously can go a little bit over if its worth it. Just want something that will keep up with the rest of the sysem, allow me to overclock decently and put all my sticks of ram in.

Thanks for the help

I would look at Asus's P5Q Range(P45 Chipset), I hit 3.6ghz on the Q6600 on the P5Q deluxe was able to push 4ghz but temps were too high on air cooling.

Quoted for Truth.

The P5Q Range are great OCing board, the P5Q Deluxe can do wonders without breaking a sweat!

Sorry to bump this, and i know its in the wrong section but i think its better than making another thread. If Im wrong ill make a new one.

Basically Im wanted a Solid state HD to go with my new mobo and overall upgrade. Which one would compliment my current system well on the budget I have of around £150. I do quite a bit of video editing but i think with the budget it will be a smallish size HD so I'd probably just put all of my programs on the solid state and store video files on my standard harddrives.

Thanks for the help.
