Looking for a new modem

Hello guys,

Hope you doing all good.

So I would like to upgrade my current modem. The modem I am using is the following Cisco Model DPC3000 DOCSIS 3.0. (http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/pr...ericas/product_data_sheet0900aecd8072a168.pdf)

I would like a modem that has in built software to configure the speed etc. Also it must have a cable connection .

Guessing your in the USA? In the UK, with Virgin, we just get what we are given.

Perhaps have a look at the Arris 6183, 16x4 downstream/upstream channels. Or the newer Arris 6190 32x8. Think there are threads on dslreports that people are reporting what their area has with regards to number of channels. Certainly is in the Comcast section.

Edit: Just seen your in Malta. Perhaps see if your ISP has a list of approved modems?

Thanks for your input Jon20, I did some resarch and the http://www.surfboard.com/products/sb6190/ SB6190 seems to be a good modem.
I will now check with my ISP if there will be any issues with this modem.

If anyone can recommend some other modems please do so
