Has anyone got any suggestions for a new gaming mouse? Mainly for FPS & RTS..

Ive been looking at the logitech G5 and Razer Copperhead. Also the Razer Krait looks interesting for the money, anyone any experience with any of these?

I use a logitech V500 at the moment, while not a gaming mouse i do like it a lot, it just doesnt have a normal scroll wheel which can be a pain for weapon cycling etc.
 
Thanks for the replies guys, bit of a tie between Logitech & Razer so far.. did you all notice a difference when compared to a "normal" mouse?

P.S. I would have searched but as much as I look, the search option seems to have disappeared??

Just looking at the Diamondback 3G, it uses a 3G infrared sensor (hence the name i guess :D ), is that going to an improvement over laser?
 
Why wouldnt you recommend the G5 zarquon? Comfort? Im a long time fan of Logitech mice but am very tempted to go with Razer instead.

Would it be worth getting a Copperhead now with the Diamondback 3G so close?
 
Yeah thats right Moses99p, is it just down to dpi? Is the copperhead still going to be the better mouse? If so why are they releasing this one?

Looks like a lot of votes for the MX518, im impressed thats still holding its own when its been out so long :)

So is there a big difference when using these things compared to a run of the mill mouse?

I think the 3G will be plenty, is there any difference between the IR & laser sensors in terms of the surfaces they can be used on?
 
Im quite liking the look of the Adder, im not sure where I could hold them first round here though.

How long is it? I prefer a shorter mouse to the tradtional shape (eg a microsoft mouse) for gaming.
 
Read quite a few reviews of the Death Adder now and all are raving about it :)

One did have a photo of it side by side a Krait though and it looked much bigger, Im guessing this doesnt cause anyone any probs?
 
Ok I think im set on a Razor now..just which one :D

So far im thinking Death Adder but at the size of an intelimouse that sounds quite big for a gaming mouse. My v500 is a notebook mouse so I guess anything will be big compared..I like be able to through round with my fingers though.

I think im gonna wait for the 3G and if I dont like that for any reason itll be an Adder :)
 
Well on whim ive just tried preordering the 3G direct from Razer, but although it lets me select UK from the list when it asks me to pick shipping method it says there are non to this country (UK) :(

Guessing we cant order direct then?

Was all set then, but after Plethoras post im wondering if I should be getting the Adder anyway :D
 
Ive also been looking at these photos..the adder looks pretty big compared to the krait..which im asuming is the same size/shaper as the 3G?

no one find the size a problem?
