After a few good years my Kone has gone the way of a few Razer mice and the left mouse button has gone "double clicky" and is now on the verge of driving me insane.

Got a Razer Orochi at work and have to say I really like the size of it. Using it wired to avoid the bluetooth issue of it momentarily going to sleep. Question is are there any other small gaming mice out there to consider? Alternatively what are the best normal sized ones at the moment?

Cheers :)

I've just ordered a Corsair Vengeance M60 gaming mouse - first ever proper gaming mouse. I will let you know what it's like in a couple of days. It gets good reviews.

For a normal sized gaming mouse I would strongly recommend the Logitech G500.

Logitech have a long pedigree of excellent mice and even better customer service, so generally if you buy from then you are in safe hands.

As for the G500 itself, it uses the MX body design (which pretty much everone loves) and includes a crazy-precise laser sensor, a flywheel-type mouse wheel (which can also be turned to "clicky" mode at the touch of a button), on-the-fly DPI adjustment (up to 5700 DPI which is insane), a weights system and thumb forward/back buttons. Basically they have distilled all the great things from their recent mice and turned it into the G500.

Finally, for ~£33 It is a pretty great deal.
