My Ipod of 5 years has died, it was a 30GB video Ipod. I haven't looked into MP3 prices until now and was shocked to see prices haven't really come down since 5 years ago. Zune looks nice but wanted to see if anyone had anything else? I didn't really want to have to spend £80, I just want it for music with large space, I don't care for extras really.

Do you care about Audio Quality being at it's best or are you content with stock buds that come with most mp3 players?

If you want a high quality mp3 player Cowon are tough to beat, couple with a nice pair of IEM's.

However if you're not too bothered about the quality and have gotten used to iTunes then just go for another apple mp3 player.

Just entirely depends on if you want more memory, better quality sound, apps, whats your price range?

I was hoping to spend no more than £40, I really don't want extras I just want a player with large space say 15-20GB

The new Sony MP3 ? brilliant sound quality !!!

Ive still got a 5year old sony player which sounds better then the itouch !!!

I have the Clip+ and it's the best player I've had for under £100 in sound quality and wipes the flaw with my iPhone and previous iPod 5G. Rockboxed you have a lot more freedom and with the SD slot you can add more memory as you need.
