After a new pc.

What I need is either i5 or i7, Windows 7 pro, small form factor, capable of hold 2 hard drives (Solid state 128gb and 3tb SATA drive), expansion for decent graphics and therefore a power supply that will run the GPU, up to 8 gig memory and blue ray player.

Edit: £500 approx budget and I not bothered about games

Any suggestions please

From what I've understood ("capable of holding 2 hard drives... expansion for decent graphics"), these parts are all you need right now (see below). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £131.99
1 x Asus Z87 GRYPHON Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £116.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 650W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £73.99
1 x Aero Cool Dead Silence Gaming Gold Mini Tower Windowed £72.95
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit £59.99
1 x Liteon DH-4O3S-04-B 4x BD-ROM (Black) - OEM £34.99
Total : £505.00 (includes shipping : £11.75).

BluRay is read only. Out of many options available to you, you could swap the PSU for one that is cheaper, to include a BluRay writer.

Thanks for taking the time to put the list together.

I assume I would have to build this, not a problem but pref not to

If I went this route what other options are there re power supply? Could I save money by going for another Mobo as I know ASUS is not the cheapest but are very good

You could get the MSI motherboards, quite cheap for the lower end one's and the cheapest one is coming with a free cooler currently

You're welcome mate. You can certainly save money if you don't need £500 worth of parts, or want room to play with to improve other areas. Below is a more budget basket, with cheaper mobo and PSU.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £131.99
1 x Aero Cool Dead Silence Gaming Gold Mini Tower Windowed £72.95
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLYD38G1600HC9DC01) £59.99
1 x Asus H81M-PLUS Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £49.99
1 x SuperFlower Amazon 550W "80 Plus Bronze" Power Supply £47.99
1 x Liteon DH-4O3S-04-B 4x BD-ROM (Black) - OEM £34.99
Total : £412.00 (includes shipping : £11.75).

If you go Intel, and small-form factor, and aren't going to game, then the H81 micro-ATX boards are your best budget choice imo. Wait for other specs, including AMD ones.

Also, for two hard drives and a BluRay player, you'd need an extra SATA cable for the BluRay (that mobo comes with two cables already), and the BluRay should go into one of the SATA 3Gb/s ports, leaving the two SATA 6GB/s for the hard drives. You may also need a fan molex to power the two fans the case brings (not 100% sure about that but these are cheap).

YOUR BASKET
1 x Akasa AK-CBSA05-30BK Super slim SATA rev 3.0 data cable with securing latches - 30cm, Black £3.29
1 x Akasa AK-CB001 Single PSU 4-pin Molex to 4 Fans (AK-CB001) £2.99
Total : £9.25 (includes shipping : £2.48).

I am also running a Dell 32" Monitor, will the onboard graphics run this

If it has (one of) the same graphics connectors as those below (on the motherboard, and they differ between models, so make sure the motherboard you go for has the graphics connectors you need for the monitor), yes:

Graphics
- VGA (1920x1200 @ 60Hz)
- Supports HDMI with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz
- Supports DVI with max. resolution 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz

The only question is what resolution you'll be able to run it at, effectively.
