I'm thinking of getting the Draytek 2710vn and some Devolo adaptors?

I stream a lot of mkvs 720p over my wired lan atm which works fine.

I'm using a standard BETHERE supplied router atm and its a no go.

I've never used these power line adaptors before so have a couple of questions!

1. Do they auto power off when not being used?

2. I see 3 ethernet connections on the adaptors, what speeds will they actually run at then?

3. Can I run them from an extension of is it best directly from the wall?

I can only speak for the TPLink 200 sets, but ive had them connected at 170+ Mbs and thats split over an upstairs ring and downstairs.

I can stream 3d enabled MKV files at full 1080p no problems to my Pc to PS3

Straight from the wall is the best way to connect, they do work through an extension but you will get really low speeds

Do these powerline adaptors i.e tplink/netgear/belkin/devolo work with any router?

Are there any that have 1000mbps ethernet ports on them?
