Looking for a new router

Hey guys

Been using the crap ISP router for a while now and it is giving me crap download speeds. My advertised are about 150mbps with virgin but only getting 25 download speed on wifi. Should I get a now router? If so what should I go for. Looking for something not to expensive eg £50 but will give me better performance.

300? Is it a residential line?

RT-N56U is a little over budget but popular.

Have you tried changing wireless channels? Or asking Virgin for the SH2 AC model?

Sorry meant 150 . What was I thinking. Called virgin and said they will not change router. Anyway it is about 4-5 years old and not very reliable. Thinking of something like this:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-080-AS&groupid=46&catid=1595. Needs to be able to serve 4 people in a mid size semi detached house.

That won't work on cable.
