Looking for a new RTS

Looking for a good fun RTS to play, basicly something where i just build up a base, defend for a while, then send out a huge attack sort of thing. Similar to the old C&C's, but not C&C 3 because i got bored of that in a few days.

I really enjoyed Dawn of War and Company of heroes + commando realism mod (although i havent had company of heroes for about 6 months), thinking maybe getting the company of heroes expansion off steam, is that any good? Sup com is another one which bored me, too slow paced for me.

no, i just didnt like the fact that some games took about 3-4 hours to finish, the fact that it takes half an hour to build stuff.

Its just not my type of game, i can see how other would enjoy it though.
