Hi Guys,
I'm looking to upgrade my dual-core system of many years. It will not be a full upgrade as some components can be re-used (e.g. monitor and drives).
So far, based on reviews on here and elsewhere, I've opted for the following:
Intel Core i5-2500 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard REV 1 [GA-Z68AP-D3]

Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5 SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT064M4SSD2) [CT064M4SSD2]

8GB Kit (4GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 memory module

I'am also looking for a new case (prefer black) which should be lightweight but not have any doors / flaps. Currently got a very bulky steel thing. Any recommendations please.
I mainly use the system for running a Cisco emulation tool (GNS3) which allows me to simulate network connectivity (I'm a network engineer). This can be heavy on the RAM. I also run virtual machines for development and testing purposes (Linux & Windows).
Budget is around £400 - £500. Can anyone see any problems with the set up so far or make any recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
