Hi All,

I am new to the forum and it's good to be here!

I am looking for some advice on choosing a reliable home broadband wireless router.

I am after the following specifications:

- WLAN, with RJ45 jack, (not ADSL with RJ11)
- Two (three will probably not fit my budget) detachable external Wi-Fi antennas
- 802.11g or 802.11n capability
- 4 port LAN switch
- Optional: Gigabit speeds would be a bonus

Budget: max £45

So far I have looked at the following options:

Linksys Wi-Fi Router WRT54GL Wireless-G:

TP-Link Archer C2 AC750:

Asus RT-N12E 300Mbps Black Diamond Eco Series Wireless Router:

Asus RT-N53 Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N600 Router (With free USB WiFi Dongle):

Asus RT-N15U WLAN Router N300/access point:

I like the Linksys because of it's reputation and stability. However it's ageing and I am concerned about it being a bottleneck with the ever rising broadband speeds, it's lack of ipv6 capability and lack of firmware updates.

I am open to suggestions, pros and cons and tips.

Thanks!

TP-Link WDR3600 is also another option if you don't need AC. 99p more than the C2 but I think it's a bit more robust as it uses Atheros chipsets (with more ram) rather than the MediaTek ones in the Archer C2.
