Looking for a nice reasonably compact keyboard

I don't want it compact at the expense of a proper layout but simply removing unnecessary space around the edges and near the number pad, im not bothered about shortcuts, hopefully something decent for under £30, any ideas?

You'll want to be looking for "78 key" keyboards (they mimic the Apple wireless keyboard design and layout). That's about as compact as you can get without moving into the realm of ridiculous layouts and half keyboards.

If you're willing to stretch your budget for something compact (63 key) and mechanical, you could try and get your hands on a KBC Poker. Review below.

I have two pokers in the post, one with red and the other with blue switches. Eagerly awaiting their arrival.

Looks interesting but probably a bit too compact for me, im starting to wonder if i really want compact now as well, thanks though.
