I am currently making a new website for my parents and as im coding it myself its taking a long time, and being that my Logitech Wave is amazingly loud can anyone recommend me a quiet, cheap keyboard? or is there anything i can do to my keyboard to make it quieter?
Thanks guys

Do you want it to run cool too? Maybe try the new watercooled keyboards ;D

Haha seriously though most keyboards aren't that noisy, just tap the keys quieter? A keyboard designed around noise isn't going to be good.

thanks guys...i have but for when i dont want to listen to music :/,well i just thought that maybe you could get quiter 'laptop style' keyboards..thanks anyways

Iirc, the Cherry CyMotion keyboard is quite quiet, as a friend has one, but was like half a year ago since i've used it. I'm actually getting one delivered tomorrow, so i can confirm or not if it is quiet.
But yeah, most keyboards aren't loud though.

+1 to above. Just started using one myself this week and it's so quiet and easy to type on. Windows 7 recognised it out of the box and you can d/l a proper UK layout to remap a couple of keys that are incorrect by default.

I was thinking of the apple keyboard actually....has anyone used the Emprex Slim? it looks just like the apple but cheaper and in black, someone on here did a review and didnt like it but if i remember right a lot of people commented saying they had one and they liked it so....does anyone here have a Emprex Slim?

I had considered that myself since I like chiclet keys for typing and it was half the price of the Apple. The only problem I saw was that it lies flat and can't be angled (well, you could add some custom job yourself I suppose) plus you get a couple of spare USB ports on the Apple. I do need a keyboard that is good for typing and in the past I've also used offerings from Cherry and MS which have been very good too. The Apple is the dog's ****** though :)

I think you should be good with the suggestions in this thread. If it's a typists keyboard you are after best to avoid the bling gaming type things. I used to have an expensive Logitech G15 keyboard way back in the day and while it had lots of gizmos it was truly awful to type on. When I do game I have one of those mini keyboard things. Also if you do decide on Apple do be aware that the keys are slightly different from a PC keyboard. It really is a pleasure to type on though. My last keyboard was a Cherry Multimedia Infinity, which is also slim, and has nice quite and tactile key action.
