hi all, iam looking for a small form motherboard with sockett 775 support and a pci-e slot.

the more compact the better, ideally smaller then micro atx but at the moment ocuk doesnt list anything smaller.

iam not asking for links but if someone can chuck me a suitable bit i can look up it would be appreciated.

cheers.

why do you have to go smaller than a matx board mate.?

starting to get/price the bits together for a complete* oil submersion PC, PC bits actually take up a lot of room once together so every few cm saved allows the case to be far lighter and compact. a itx board will save masses of space over a matx (17x17 compared to 24x24)

I have most of the other bits already, i just need to find a 'water' pump beefy enough to shift oil around a sizeable rad and a power supply.

*using wireless keyboard, mouse and internet dongles all inside the 'tank', a SSD once they drop in price some time next year and having no cd/dvd drive (mainly going to be a web machine) iam hoping the that the only things going in and out of the tank will be the mains and monitor cables.

That sounds really cool, make sure you do a build log when you go ahead with it.

Although I do think you'll be fine with a mATX board, i've seen these kind of PCs built with full ATX boards before - you just need a bigger "case"! :p

as long as i get to keep my job the build should be mid next year. mineral oil is heavy, itx could save me a good few litres and good few kg's, all the units i have seen on youtube etc are huge and are far bigger then what iam hoping for.
