Wondering if anyone can help, I'm looking for a small holder that I can put on my keyring that will carry one of these USB sticks I have, It's going to get lost if I keep it in my pocket or wallet I just know it and would be better on the keyring!

If you have one spare I'd be happy to pay postage or if anyone knows a place where such cases are being sold :)

So many places to hide such a stick (2GB) :P

So anyone got any case ideas? :D

I'm in the process of modding one into a USB cable sawed off but that's on hold until I find a USB cable with a non moulded head so the above is first.

I just did a search to try and find the guide that was posted in general hardware. where you put one of those sticks into the end of a usb cable. so basically you end up with a USB cable with one end as a frayed wire. when you plug in the other end it works as a flash drive (because there is a flash drive in the end)

I couldn't find the guide though, I'll try again now though.

here we go:

haha the thread was made by you. make one of them you big loser.

I am, read above reply lol :p

I want a case too so I can have one on the USB cable as above and also one on a keyring case.

I bet there is enough "free" physical material to drill a 4mm hole through it and use itself as the keyring, but without one to hand, I can't prove it :(

I don't think so LOL! if you look at a RAM stick and look at one of the chips on the stick, it's one of those in 2GB form so drilling through it is literally drilling "through" it !

I used to have a holder which was credit card sized for the wallet for those types of USB pens. Lasted me about 6 years but it's broke now.

The one I modded was a moulded head. Just need a craft knife to open it up and epoxy the bugger back together again.
