I do not see that being a lot cheaper unless you are happy to buy the discontinued model

I was under the impression Nest needed a different Amp on the wiring and some features were restricted to a monthly subscription? It's been two years since I looked at it though.

It's just a control circuit, essentially 2 switches. It couldn't be simpler.

No monthly sub required. All features are active out of the box.

I got my Nest v3 for 120 quid in the Black Friday sales and love it. Installed it myself and is a breath of fresh air from the ancient danfoss programmable controller before it.

I wish it had better and more granular reporting, the history function is quite limited.

I went for the Hive system, it's good however it doesn't have a great integration system, Logitech remote isnt supported.

Nest 3rd gen here and couldn't be happier with it. Great little gadget and well worth the money!

I got mine from Screwfix and it came with a free stand. Not sure if the offer is still on.
