Upgrade is due, and i fancy getting a smartphone. currently i have an ericsson c905. and have only had conventional phones till now.
been doing a bit of reading, and seen that everyone gets excited about the HTC's.
the htc desire is on top of the list for me, i havent seen one in person yet, but the size is a bit off putting for me. is it significantly bigger than my c905?
the other thing which has me in two minds is i see mention of a new desire HD, is it worth me holding out for this considering its out in a month or so, or will the desire do the job?
Ta.

For someone coming from a dumb-phone, the desire (or similar phones such as the nexus one, the milestone, the galaxy s) will feel like a massive step up.

Yes they are physically larger, but you don't actually notice because the whole bulk of the "size" is taken up with the immersive display and touch interface. In other words, you don't notice because the size is both needed and useful!

So long as you don't need the updates the Desire HD will bring (and I can't see that you would given that a dump-phone has served you proud until now), then the normal Desire will easily be "good enough".

thanks for that, im thinking hd video would have been a nice touch though :)
dont they feel big in the pocket?
i know this is speculation, but would the cost be significantly more than the standard desire?
