Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a ThermalTake Tsunami Dream case in black with the side window, as I'm trying to recreate my very first custom PC from back in the day.

I've searched on Ebay UK, and Gumtree, and can only find a few silver ones. Does anyone have one lying around they would be willing to sell? Or any other marketplaces they would recommend to post or search on?

I did find one (that was a complete system) on the US Ebay but with shipping and cost it's just not possible.

Picture below of what the case looks like.

And the old OCUK page: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ther...um-windowed-tower-black-no-psu-ca-010-tt.html

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

I have one in its boxed (used) it is in good condition with no major scratches last time I checked and not long before I swapped to an EATX case (due to bigger Mobo) I fitted a new "TT original" side window as original got swirls marks from cleaning it over the years.

So to be sure this is is the proper original launch full aluminium model not the later steel case with only the front being aluminium, it is black with a side window, the fans died long ago.

I have the box that has the screws, drive rails etc but cannot says for sure every single smaller part is there and I cut out the case where the front/rear fan go to get more airflow for 140mm fans so the edges are really rough as I did it with cutters as no dremel and would need tidied up then fitted with 140mm fans to hide the holes as 120mm will not now (I had/may still have 2 silent 140mm fans for it that were hard to source back then as most were 120mm)

Amazing. That's exactly what I remember with all aluminium.

When you have a chance would you be able to send over some photos, specifically the areas you modified? Where abouts are you located?

Near Glasgow but not right now as my mother fell yesterday and had hip op today as well as going through Chemo etc so I am very busy.

I will still grab box out of loft in next few days and give you some idea of condition but not before i look in every drawer etc for all parts I can find to get it as complete as possible, most are still in original small brown cardboard box and bags.

Oh as you may or may not know that hard wire/cable they used to get Blue LEDS to light breaks eventually due to the door opening/closing but can be replaced with more flexible silicon cable easy enough.

I still have the keys for the inner door lock and side panel lock(s), it only comes with one lock on side panel but as I said I bought a spare window and it came in a steel side panel which I binned (heavy and really poor dull black paint job) but I keep the lock.

Thanks so much. Obviously with the restrictions at the moment I would have waited regardless, best wishes to your mother and with the chemo. I'm in London so I think I'll have to compensate you for both the item and postage.

Sorry I skipped through that and didn't see if you actually got one, but the style of that case, for some unknown reason, reminded me of this case which is readily available....

Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately I'm looking for the Tsunami Dream only. This might be ideal for other builds I do though.

Hi, my mother Saturday before last and was fitted with a new half hip by same time on Sunday, she is still in hospital so I am doing some much needed work to her house while she is gone.

I have not forgotten.
