looking for a upgrade

'i think' my 7800gt is dieing a slow and painful death i get lines across the screen when the card is put under any strain then it will crash ect...

but is it a good time to upgrade to something like 8800 or wait to see what ati comes up with? got £250 (£300 max) i guess having a card with dx10 is going to be a must at the end of the year?

or wait for a possible price drops i can live with the card messing up for now..

please post pictures of problem on forum, and details of overclock on the card.. unless you got money to burn and don't want a fix!

hi again ive mangaged to a pic but its not that good at showing the problem with the 7800 if you look close at the bottem right hand corner you will see little lines these will cover the screen and then i will have to reset the computer

It probably needs a dust. As its fine when not pushed, there's probably no permanent damage. Paintbrush and hoover time
