Looking for a Video Camera for about £300

Hi,

I'm off travelling at the end of the year and would love to film some of it rather than just taking pictures.

I have about £300 to spend but literally have no idea what video camera to buy.

Obviously it needs to be HD, but it also needs to record relatively decent sound, but most importantly the battery life needs to be good for those times I'm not able to recharge it very much.

Any ideas?

I would advise sony for a video camera, I have always been pleased with sony video cameras for the quality and the price.
