Hi all

I'm looking for a VPN but not sure what I need and who's the best to use? There are so many out there

Any help appreciated

Cheers

XY problem check: what is it you're trying to do? Some may be more suitable than others.

Firestick for different Netflix regions.... Also Gaming on PUBG etc try different servers
If it's mostly for geo unblocking and such, I'd look at providers like PrivadoVPN and Windscribe. Both can be had cheap on deals, successfully unlock various streaming services, and have good infrastructure. Both also claim no-log. For gaming you're always going to suffer versus native connections, but those two do have T1 backhaul and good peering so they're as good as you'll get.

NordVPN would also likely work for your scenario, but their associated practices are scummy (eg billing tactics, price hikes) so beware. The big names in VPN, trading on privacy and security, are typically also the ones who have given up on unblocking streaming services. The likes of Mullvad, AirVPN, AzireVPN, and other well respected privacy providing VPN services simply throw up their hands and say if it works, great, but it's an accident not intentional (spoiler: it usually won't work).

I have Cyber ghost currently for use on Firestick and pc. Previously had Surfshark. Paid £46 for 2 year subscription but both perform OK.

Anyone tried AdGuard VPN? it is currently on offer for $40 for a 5 year sub.
Have not tried AdGuard and only used Mullvad for a long while.
