The game is brilliant, large scale an lots of life in the game, good community.

** edit supreme commander 2 is a very poor game in comparison

Original DOW (Warhammer Dawn of War) series is excellent, I enjoyed DOW 2 but its very different gameplay.

If you fancied separating the base management and battles you could try the total war series, I'd highly recommend Total War : Shogun 2 as I've put over 200 hours into that game and loved it.
