Looking for a webcam

Looking for one that will work on top of my 2407 or on my desk. I like the look of the Logitech 9000 but I can't justify spending over £40 on a cam. Also, I don't need one with a mic as I already have one.

Any ideas?

i got one for £8 in the jan sales its a logitech one, cant find box atm but its great for what i use it for (msn)

You could say that the logitech 9000 is not worth it, but until you've tried it u really can't, its just soo much better than any webcam out there nothing can really compete with it. In anycase you could always buy it and try it for youself and return if you don't like it

, make sure you can do this though a lot of companies won't let you do this anymore *sigh*

All I will be using it for is MSN mate so does it really matter?

Looking through my emails it seems I've ordered a Logitech 1.3MP QuickCam Communicate STX Webcam whilst drunk last night.

Depends on what you want to spend.. and what specs you want!!..

I've got the Microsoft Lifecam NX-1000 (the base model) and I've just managed to get it working in Windows 7 (beta drivers only just released).. its very crispy and gives a decent 640x480 picture over MSN or Yahoo (etc..).. I picked it up from my local Supermarket (Green Arrows!!).. for a tenner!!..

Warning do not watch late night shopping channels, I’ve got a mate who used to get packages delivered that he had no idea he’d ordered, he was a sucker for those potato peelers (etc) that look great in the hands of a magician but would leave an untrained person fingerless in 5 minutes
