I'm looking for a webhost for my forum.

It has to be off a company, not an individual. I don't need anything fancy, i just need it to be stable and have it up.

What i'd need

1/2 MySQL databases
1/2 GB space
Bandwidth i'm not sure, i'm currently on around 10,000 + page views a month.

Cheap, but reliable is what i'm after really. Any ideas / personal preferences?

I use TSO Host and upon my recommendation a few others here do too. I've never had a problem and when I do they quickly respond to support tickets. Recently they had a failure on one box and I was moved to a new server with updated a newer cpanel within hours and I was back in business with only minimal downtime.

I don't rate companies based on their uptime but instead how fast they get me back to working order when something does go wrong because something will always go wrong even if it's a rare event.

Vidahost are wonderful. Really do have quick response to any queries! The 10 minute figure on their website (at the bottom) is not a lie.

Vidahost have been great for me

Never ever touch 1&1 though if you value customer service. You will see them advertised everywhere but their support is shocking. Since being with Vidahost any problems are quickly sorted and queries are answered straight away. Good prices too.

Vidahost come well recommended on this forum, I followed the advice on this forum and they have been fantastic.

I emailed both companies, Vidahost and TSOhost.

No word of a lie, i received an email back from Vidahost within 2 minutes! That's outstanding.

The result of speedy replies after that, with good information and your recommendations ensured me a year with them would be painless. :)

Also, if someone else is reading this, you can use coupon code: " mcompute " for 10% off at vidahost. :)

Thanks guys.

TSO Host has been my host for a little over a year. Since then I've been using them for all of my clients', new and old. Superb service and price. After sales support is what makes the difference.
