Hi all

I need to advice.

I'm looking to buy a tablet for ideally no more than £300. Key thing is it needs to be windows 8 (or atleast be able to use an ANT+ USB stick which connects to a garmin device and the trainer road bike program)

So far I've found the Acer Iconia W3 - any thoughts on this?

Or are there any alternatives?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go for the W3 now as there are a few new Windows 8.1 tablets due out soon such as the Dell Venue 8 pro and Venue 11 pro, Toshiba Encore, Asus T100 and the successor to the W3, the Acer Iconia W4.

Or you may be able to save a few ££s and pick up a Dell Latitude 10 still - decent machine, meets your requirements and will likely be cheaper?

Picked up a T100 for myself in the week and have been playing around with it a bit yesterday and today. Got some videos of my testing with it here: https://www.youtube.com/user/BrueComputing

Gaming performance won't exactly blow you away, but for a little 2w tablet chip its not bad!

In a lot of ways I prefer it as a cheap laptop than a tablet, I'm not 100% sold on any 16:9 aspect ratio tablets.
