Looking for a ww2 era combat flight sim

Can anyone recommend me a decent one? Im no good with AWACS and AMRAMS and all that malarky, its too advanced and it makes me feel thick. I like good old fashioned dog fights in spitfires. So can anyone please recommend me a ww2 flight sim? I am after a sim by the way, not an arcade game - like weapons over normandy.

microsoft combat flight sim 1,2 or 3?

all are based in WW1/2 with plenty of mods.

Il2 imo is far superior and more fun and much much better supported and the whole 3 game series can be bought for £9.99

dont get combat flight sim 3, terrible game. Its like the plane doesnt move at all just the scenery, and the graphics arent good. Id say get IL2

another vote for IL2 Forgotten battles here. Its good and looks great, but it is hard in a different way, and the realism is scalable.

IL2 Forgotten Battles is generally considered to be the best WW2 Flight sim, closely followed by Pacific Fighters.
