So I've currently got a Beyerdynamic MMX300 Gen1 gaming headset plugged in to onboard sound, Z390 Aorus Master. While the headset still sounds good to my ears, it's seen better days and the headband has broken.
I need a new headset, but I've also seen a lot of people using the external dacs etc. I figure if I'm going to replace my headset, I may aswell get the best gaming audio experience I can While I'm at it.
I play mostly rts, rpg, fps games so 7.1 surround might be nice and I spend a fair amount of time on Discord so a mic is essential.
But do I get a gaming headset, separate headset and mic, I'm not sure. Don't want or need speakers either.
So guys with a budget of £400 (willing to go higher for a much better experience) what do recommend?
