I ended up comming into my drive a bit too tight last Tuesday and promptly heard metal scratching wall.. The joys.. I checked the damages and it doesnt look that bad.. But I do not know the best way to fix - I figured a good scrub and then seom T-Cut.. But maybe the scratches are too deep... Can anyone offer advice on this? Its a MK2 Mondeo. Thank you. :)

T-cut will definitely get rid of the bottom left and the one above it. It won't remove the other ones though, especially the scratches on the arch.

I did the same thing in my 205, turned too early whilst going into a carpet between two walls, luckily the car was silver so it didn't show up too much.

the photos arent clear but it looks like youve transferred some paint onto the car. give it a clean and take a look at again. if youve gone down to the metal it'll then depend on how much you want to spend in getting it fixed. a quick and simple solution is to buy some touch up paint and with a lot of patience and t cutting you can do a good job...

take some more photos after youve cleaned it up so we can inspect the damage more clearly for you :p

It'd definately clean it up and then try and take some clearer pics.

Hopefully the damage on the door will T-cut out, and the damage on the arch you could probably rub down and then build it up again using primer + paint + laquer (halfords spray cans were a good match when I did similar on my mondeo).

You're lucky it's there and not on the middle of a panel, it should make it pretty easy to blent in and make it not noticable.

Its brick dust :D - Ill try to give it a clean tomorrow and at some point a trip into halfords :) Ill update with a better pic too. Thanks everyone.

Not quite brick dust.. The arch has some rust set in - I guess Ill need something to kill the rust then apply some touch up paint to it? - The others may need some tcurt and some paint then?

Unfortunately they're way too deep for T-Cut, as others have said.

The ones on the door are down to the primer in places, and as you've found out, it's down to bare metal on the arch.

You could go the rust treatment/touch up route, but having it sprayed would be a much better option.

I nipped down to Halfords at the weekend but was stumped by the choice of colours.. from the pics above does anyone know what colour the car is.. it is apparently written on the VIN plate but I was expecting a metal plate in the engine bay, but was faced with one line of letters and numbers.. I could not see a match on this to any of the 'codes' in the Halfords book.

Does anyone have any ides on this? Thanks :)

halfords have a booklet chart thing in store.. you look up the manufacturer/model and year and it tells you the colour youre wanting :)
