Looking for an Android tablet that wont show any icons whilst screen mirroring over USB/HDMI

Hi all, I've tried finding this out myself, but without any luck.

So, I need to mirror an android app to a TV over HDMI (for the increased stability over wireless screen sharing). The tablet will be used for data entry, and the TV to show what is displayed on the tablet in greater detail for others to see.

I have done this with the Honor tablet and Honor Fold phone I have, but with both, I get a screen sharing message/icon showing up whilst mirroring (not in the top bar, but hovering over part of the tablets display). I can't find a way to remove this, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a tablet that will mirror over HDMI and has the option to have a completely clean screen at the same time (ie. not notifications about the screen mirroring, whilst using the app I need to use).

Quite a specific issue, I know, but failing buying various tablets and testing them all out, I just can't find any info out there.

Note: Something with as close to a standard TVs aspect ration (to avoid letterboxing) would also be a massive plus!

Any help would be really, really appreciated!

Maybe you can look at Samsung Dex? Rather than just mirroring the screen when you connect to a tv it gives a full desktop style environment

That is a great shout by @ezekial. I've had various Samsung phones for a while but never actually tried it. I think some other manufacturers have ended up trying to do their own version, but worth trying it if you know anyone with a supported device to test or demo.

From what I can see it's been a feature since S9 phones but also tablets, so there is plenty options to find a decent 2nd hand device if budget is going to be a challenge.

Never had that myself
Used Samsung and lenovo tablets and phone
And not seen any message
Though am screen mirroring over wifi
And over usb
And that's without using Samsung dex
Which could also be an option

Do honor phones use their own OS ?
Vague recollection it was owned by huawei at one point
Or they can use Google android?
