Looking for an external disc drive

Hi sorry don’t know if this is the correct place to ask, so looking for an external drive to back up all my own discs including Blu-ray and also 4k. I know the software but the actual drives is throwing me, so anyone recommend any drives ?

As in an external blu ray drive to read the discs? I'm sure basically anyone will do nowadays?

Around the £50-£60 mark will net you something that reads blu ray at 12x, and burns dvd+- at 48x, price goes up from there. Check out the external drives section in the ocuk shop.

usually the software devs have forums, check there? I believe some pioneer drives are good but they have to running a specific level of firmware. Any thing above version 1.1* wont work.

1.1* is just an example, I got no idea what firmwares are good
