My dad is after a phone for work and is after something that can also be used as a pda. Normally I can sort his phones out for him but when it comes to soemthing like this I'm not sure what he could get. Also the phone has to be used with a vodaphone sim and has to be able to be bought from them as the whole company has a deal with them.

thanks

Title needs chanding, mda is the branding T-mobile use for their devices, generic term is pda, personal digital assistant

Check out the vodafone online store under the business section. My favourites would be the v1640, great, does everything, but quite large (old hp 4700 size and slightl thicker), or the Qtek 9100, great device and significantly smaller.

Worth having a look at the qtek site for more detailed spec comparison

Xda IIs/i or Xda exec.

XDa exec is O2's branded version of the vodafone v1640, and the XDA IIs is the 9100.

to make life easier energise, if people give recommendations try xda developers website, they give the various names associated with the devices (all devices made by HTC and then rebranded by other companies)
