Looking for an old game I use to play but can't remember the name of it in the year 1995/6

So this is what I can remember about the game......You basically have to defend a town/city against things that looked like killer tomatoes, you had to lay down traps and I think you hired guards and things. Between missions I think they used real actors for the cut scenes and they were daft and comical in nature. Set in medieval times sorry its not much to go on but its all I can remember it was 30 years ago.....

Its funny I went tlooking for this a few years ago (having never played it) after vaguely remembering it on something like Gamesmaster back in the 90's and remembering seeing it in Electronics Boutique for the Saturn (god I feel old)
