I am looking to buy a cheap second hand oscilloscope to look at the voltage ripple on PSUs for my review site. I will also be using it for all sorts of things as I am an electrical hobbyist :)

What specs and information should I be looking for to get a suitable one? The other great thing about them is that the ones I'm looking at make great antiques when they are not being used and make you look like an electrical genius xD

No sorry.

But if you You tube EEV blog (dave) he goes on about how a real oscilloscope is the only way for most jobs.

USB scopes have there uses I am sure.

I am no expert when it comes to electronics so please dont take my word for it mate.

Look on you tube and see what people say.

Good luck.

PS

If you are interested this is one I am selling any way.

I would not want to post it but tbh that may benifit you as you could test it out and I could help you with it if need be.
