I currently have a xfx 260oc and i want to upgrade to a newer card, what do you recomend. i had a gigabyte 470 super overclock but sent it back as the card didnt seem smooth.

Corsair XMS3 4 gig
Intel i5 775
Tagen 580w psu
Windows 7 64bit
Samsung Syncmaster 2494HM monitor

Well given the 470 SOC is £250 there is nothing else in that price range except 5*** series which I dont see any point in buying as they are eol, 5870\5850. The 6870 performs just under\around the 470 and is around £190-£200 but wouldn't be any 'smoother' than the 470 SOC. Perhaps wait till December for 6950\6970 which should be around £250 and £320 respectively and certainly more powerful than the cards previously mentioned.:)
