Looking for budget gfx card recommendation

I'm looking to upgrade my current rig with a decent budget graphics card.

Current Setup

Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
Intel I5 2550k
16 GB Memory

I'm going to overclock the processor and get as much juice out of it as possible which leaves me with the graphics card.

Ideally I would like to play Fallout 4 on my normal LCD monitor, doesn't have to be ultra settings but at least the equivalent to console.

Was looking at the GeForce GTX 750 ti or maybe stretch to the Radeon R9 380 Strix Edition

Any thoughts?

Peoples idea of a budget card varies quite a bit here!

if youd go down the used route a 280x on ebay goes for peanuts

Either a used 7970/280x, or go for the 380. To get in console territory (i.e. 1080p 30-60fps medium/high) you need at least a 950 (the 750ti won't cut it anymore). But the 380 is a much much better deal so I'd rather say go for that (if you don't want to do used).

You can probably get a second hand 770gtx for around £100 from eBay (they sell for around that often)
