Looking for budjet card

Whats better out of a OcUK GeForce 8500 GT and a OcUK GeForce 7600 GT im pretty much new to this kinda thing the numbers obviously make the 8500 better but the 7600 costs more so im conused to which one lol

any thoughts on the better one and a PSU to run it?

if you can stretch to it, 50 quid for a 8600gt is well worth it and hardly costs any more than a 7600gt.

ive now decided on the 8600 but surley i need more that 250w to run it at least 400w?

8600gt sucks up around 43w of power. does not need external power connector and is powered directly from the motherboard. depending on the rest of your system spec you can get away with a fairly low power psu.

also with the 8600gt, be weary of the 512mb ones, they seem to come with ddr2 ram which is clocked a lot slower than the 256mb ddr3 cards, so get the 256mb ddr3 version.
