So,
Im looking to build a SFF probably around an SG01/NT06 lite combo, iv been doing a bit of research and like the look of the Asus M2A-VM HDMI paired with the new BE-2300 CPUs.
Im just a touch worried it wont be too future proof, id like to keep it well past the point HD/BR drives become affordable and link it to a 42" LCD. Iv seen a review showing the 690G chip (which the asus has) running at 60% cpu usage with a AM2 5200+ decoding a 1080p x.264 video which makes me think it will really struggle with this CPU.
Of course this setup is dirt cheap with the mobo and cpu coming in at around £90-£100. Whats my best bet from the intel camp? Im guessing the Abit F-I90HD is a strong front runner but iv not had chance to look how this handles HD video.
Any recommendations for some HDCP compliant kit that runs cool and cheap?
