Looking at buying a pair of cheapo headphones for work. Basically ear defenders with sound.
Looking to spend up to £50.
Wireless is a must but would like to be able to plug in also.
Must be over ear - my ears are quite big.

I work in a metal fabrication workshop office and the noise from the other side of my window is loud and constant. I want to be able to wear all day this comfort is no 1 priority. Like a warmer sound.

Looking forward to suggestions...
(Please no "spend £300 cos they're better" type responses)

I would suggest wired at that budget. Tried few cheaper ones wireless and all of them at some point either had background noise (hissing) or got poor interference with another devices.

For wireless, the Sony's look to be a decent choice. They'll certainly be better than any wireless full size headphones for £50.

I'd be wary of obscure unknown brands such as Boltune etc, getting so many 5* reviews. Vast majority of these unknown brands with a very high percentage of 5* reviews are sold by sellers based in China. If you search, you'll find plenty of websites mentioning about fake reviews on Amazon, with some sellers offering incentives to leave 5* reviews. It's hard to know how many are genuine.

I think @aoaaron owns some CH700N's. He had good things to say about them from what I remember.

Okay so after reading quite a few reviews I have decided on the Sony WH CH-700N.

Comments?

Yup! CH700Ns are great. I've compared them to the top of the line bluetooth headphones.

For audio quality and especially soundstage, they are amazing aslong as you dont wear glasses (the seal is poor so the bass escapes with glasses).

The headphones more expensive than them have much narrower soundstage.

Its noise cancelling sucks tho compared to the headphones 3x its price.

Well the ch700n s turned up today and I think they're pretty nice. Only spent an hour with them on in the house but everything seems good. Might have to source some velour pads but time will tell.
Anyone know of a decent cheap carry case around a tenner?
