Looking for customer managment software?

Hi, I work in B2B where contracts are few and big. They take a long time to draw out the process between contact and "sale".

Is there any good software to track, as it were, these customers. some of them I meet at conferences, some just call in. and there and hundreds of stages along the way where I wont hear from them for months.

I have a tracker I made in excel that tracks leads I made at conferences, but it isn't great and it doesn't collate the incoming "cold" calls.

I have (in the dim distant past) used Royal Blue, Goldmine & Sunrise for HelpDesks. I believe that Royal Blue has given up on CRM - that is probably not much help to you.
