Hi Guys

as title im looking for a reasonable mic i prefer desk mics but i have been told headsets offer better sound quality?

i use skype, ts2 and ventrillo

skype dosent appear to have any problems but ts 2 and 3 and ventrillo im told i im difficult to understand and not vry clear with a lot of background noise.

my current mic is a desktop that i got for £5 from asda so proberbly not real high quality.

is there a way i can improve my current mic? if not can anyone suggest a reasonable priced mic with decent quallity.

thanks evil

it depends on your environment imo...

if there is a lot of noise in your room, then desktop mics might pic up this noise and you won't be heard clearly.

If noise is a problem... headset would be the best. a clip on mic is also a good option.

If noise isn't a problem then a desktop mic will be fine.

Personally i went for a headset and am glad i did . I have these and cannot fault them at all Link removed
not to expensive but great sound and gd mic.
just to give you and idea

thanks guys

normally when i get a new mic its fine for about 6-8 mnths then it seems to pic up lots of background noise as i carnt be understood very well in vent.

i think that this time i will go for a headset or a clip on a usb one would be nice as i can use my front ports for ease.

thanks for the info guys.
