Hey all,

Going on holiday to Mexico in June and have decided the iPhone isn't quite up to scratch anymore (not that it ever was).

The budget is around £200 - £300 and looking for the best bang for my buck.

Since I will be spending a lot of time in the water I would like a waterproof one or a camera that has a model specific waterproof case.

- High quality images
- Maybe wide angle?
- As little to no shudder lag (w/e its called)

I had a look at the Sony TX30, opinions?

Thanks for any advice

I'm not very technically minded with cameras but from my own experience I bought a Canon Powershot s95 last year when they were down to £230 and the shots are fantastic. I found it had greta lowlight performance too.

I know the s110 in black on the rainforest is £295 at the moment.

You can go full auto or have manual control and I really rate this camera. Though as mentioned above I am not that knowledgeable about cameras etc so I am sure someone will be along with better/alternative suggestions.

Also if you want to take it underwater the =Canon WP-DC47 Water proof housing is available but is two hundred notes.

Edit : ignore the above I just realised the TX30 is waterproof as standard. Sry dude

Take a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT5 (£265 on camerapricebuster.co.uk) was getting good reviews when I was looking for something to compliment my DSLR, in the end I went for the FT-20 as my budget wasn't as big as yours, (£90 clearing stock for the new model) rugged camera does what it says on the tin without needing a waterproof case.
