Hi guys im looking for some games suggestions,

I've not played pc games in a few years

I games I like
most games with a story and upgrade features,
RPG - elder scrolls, dragons age, fable kingdoms of amular ( few years old now )
I did think monster hunter world would be good but its lacking a lot in some areas, its feel more like work then a game.
shooters - mass effect
Fighters - Street fighter, Mortal Kombat, WWE,
I liked most Bioshock games till the most recent ones, even the poor ones.
Racing - I use to like games with upgrade sbut I cant think of anything on PC since NFS underground.
adventure games

My be a JRPG - seams they have loads of animes based on them so I assume they should have aa a have decent games.

I've never played the batman games so I may give them a go.

OR any fun game I should try out

I can only suggest stuff ive played recently that i really enjoyed.

Tomb Raider series.
Dead Space trilogy.
Assassins Creed Origins/Odyssey
Hitman 1/2
Alien Isolation
Inside
Ashen

...and of course the best, Witcher 3 (but play 1/2 as well!)

Lots of nice games lately. Resident Evil 2 Remake, DMC5, Sekiro... Haven't played Hitman 2 yet but 1 was great and this appears to be at least as good.

AC Odyssey is also good, albeit too bloated and repetitive after xx hours. Origins is better overall. If you haven't played W3 it's also a solid game, should be really cheap now. Nier Automata is a weird little gem.

As for fighters, I only play Tekken 7 and can recommend.

Others have given good recommendations, but in regards to jrpg’s, could try the latest dragon quest game. Never really played jrpgs before, but had a blast playing that game.

Second this, especially if you're coming back and want something simple to play. The story is very straight forward yet engaging, combat is fun and no need for insane min maxing to make a dent. It's 'easy' in the sense you can sit back, enjoy the game, explore, upgrade, learn new skills etc. Even better is you can dip in and play for an hour, leave it a couple of weeks and it gives a great recap on the story so far in a short passage of text and you can head straight back into it.

It also plays like it's an animated series, looks great, heres a screenie I took early on for one of the bosses (note, the pic is ingame graphics, cut scenes are in game):

You don't mention Dark Souls. It has lots of upgrade choices, lots of gear, the story and lore are grim and evocative even if you kind of have to piece them together yourself. In terms of world building and atmosphere they're second to none, especially the first one. The combat is really superb as well.

I'm a huge fan of the series and just going back into the last dlc of the third game (over 300 hours across all three). I'm going to miss this series hugely when I finish and I'm toying with the idea of starting all over again from game one with a different build when I've finished.

You can get the remastered version of the first one now as well. One of the best game series of any type ever made in my opinion.

RPG
If you want a long JRPG with a decent story, then about about Ni No Kuni 2.
Life is Strange is a popular episodic game with a pretty good story.
Divinity Original Sin 2 and Pillars of Eternity 2 are quite long games that'll keep you busy for a while.
Kenshi is a fairly popular open world RPG where you more or less choose to make your own story, it's a bit grindy though.

Shooters
For a shooter, the Metro games would be the top of my list.
Prey is quite good, a bit slow to start but it flows better later on.
RAGE 2 is coming out later this year, probably worth keeping your eye on that one.

Ni No Kuni 2 is really good as a JRPG choice.
Skrim is still great IMO, with mods it has almost endless play-ability even today.
I agree that the original Tomb Raider is very good, the next 2 are obviously prettier but just not as good.
Sekiro is great if you like a "challenge". :)
