Hello OverclockersUK Forum of awesome'ness!

I've been a fan of PC Gaming for a while and am after a Graphics Card for around £100. I know the budget isn't amazing, in fact it's pretty low. But i'm one of 'those student types', and my budget all-in is £150ish (including a graphics card and a PSU). Oh, which brings me onto the second question: What PSU would you lovely gentlemen (and ladies) or OCUKForums suggest for the said card?

I would like to purchase these products (a Graphics Card and a PSU) from OCUK (as well as all of my other PC needs, ofcourse), so links would be much appreciated!

I'm looking to play games such as BF3 and Skyrim. However, 'ultra' settings/ High everything doesn't bother me, but is always a winner is a card could handle it (although I'm aware around £100 isn't great).

Please help a brother out! Thanks, Fry.

I was just about to write those as well, sorry for forgetting!

From the top of my head they're i3 8gb ram. I knew I should have gone with i5 but I just couldn't afford it at the time! I don't have a PSU at all yet (bit of an issue..)!

What resolution is your monitor ? if it's 1920x1080 then it's going to be hard to recommend a brand new card for bf3 I think it needs 1500+ video ram on the graphics card at that res and above to run well.

£10 over but it's what I would get unless you go second hand for the gpu which you are much better off doing for the graphics card something like a 6950 2gb.

I have BF3 and Skyrim both playing @1080 with High presets (BF3) and maxed with some mods on skyrim, using my brothers Xfire 6850 rig (1GB cards)
I should add both playing fine with no signs of running out of VRAM.

Forgot about the screen, again - Apologies. 1920x1080, yeah.

Completely forgot looking in the reduced section!

If I found a second hand, or 'graded' 6950 2gb, would the 500w PSU suffice? I don't wan't things going bang! Ahh.

34Amps on the 12v it's enough, considering you have an i3 =)

If you want extra reassurance you could always buy This instead, it's got 38Amps on the 12v. Same price, jut OCZ instead of Corsair....both decent.

ah news to me then why is it reported you do need more than 1gb of ram then ? but besides that future games will use more than 1gb I think

So, I'm thinking the set-up Tonester0011 suggested:
Graphics Card - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-163-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866

PSU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-055-OC&tool=5

Coming in a £20 over budget. But that's what credit cards are for 'ey?
I'd be happy to spend the extra, knowing that it'd all work together, etc.

I've never owned a AMD card before! Anything I should know? (Tips, tricks, where to get the drivers from.. etc?)

Honestly, all this help is much appreciated!

You get your drivers from Here. There's not much to know, if it's a fresh windows install it's quite literally a "plug and play" majobby.

No idea mate. Running BF3 with my setup (2x7970s @5760 - Ultra presets) it says i use 2980Mb of VRAM, playing on one screen that goes down to 1.5Gb.

I think too much hype surrounding VRAM and the amount you "need" does little to help people make decisions though. I mean, a single 6850 doesn't have enough grunt to play with high enough settings to make use of the memory it's given lol.
