I know someone who uses the desktop as their documents and download folder. They're using medium-sized icons for now, but there's a clear limit they're going to, or have currently reached. They find their latest document by sorting by "new", and have multiple folders called "desktop 1", "desktop 2", etc.
I need multiple different icons on the desktop. Task View won't do - it duplicates the desktop. Dexpot is better, but I can't rely on the intended user to press buttons to switch to different desktops. WindowSlider seems more focused on programs than the desktop. It works on my desktop, duplicating the wallpaper as well. But it doesn't seem to slide the targeted user's desktop, perhaps because my desktop is mostly empty.
Is there a simple program that slides the desktop, providing infinite space? Maybe a nice infinite wallpaper (no seams) to go along with it.
